About Job Corps
Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program available to young people ages 16 through 24. The Job Corps program’s mission is teaching eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and placing them in meaningful jobs or further education. Students can live on campus in dormitories. The center has a cafeteria, a Wellness Center to provide free health services, and a Recreation Center with competitive sport and leisure activities.
Ottumwa Job Corps provides students with career technical training in job fields that include Construction, Health, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation. Ottumwa Job Corps also provides academic training including basic math and reading, High School Completion/GED programs, and ELL classes. Students have the ability to live on campus and Job Corps provides Residence Hall Supervision, three cafeteria meals per day, and recreational activities.
